The Word Game is a game I play that makes language more personal. Here's the deal. Most words have personal associations for us. this game asks you to publicly inflect language with those associations by sharing stories with other people. This makes language yours together. It's a great get-to-know-you game and an especially fun way to get to know the people you already think you know well.

Materials: None
Rules
1. One person selects a word. Novice: Person Place, or Thing. Experienced: add Verbs and Abstract Terms. Advanced: Random.
2. Take turns doing one of two things:
a. Describe a memory that the word triggers.
b. Create a new story based on the associations the word creates.
3. Repeat
Note: This game can be played through conversation or through writing.
